Baccarat casino success stories
Most people who are familiar
with gambling know of this multi-billionare from downunder who recently
died. He was not only
a brilliant businessman, but an astute gambler as well.
Mr. "P" was a big physical man,
about 6"5' tall, weighing about 225 lbs. He had an incredible
personality and a charismatic appearance. He loved Croupiers (dealers) and
has very little use for casino executives. He hated it when casino executives
"buddyed" to him. We have heard him say " if your such a
big shot, how come you have a boss.?".
Mr. "P" knew how to have a
good time. He usually had around 6 or 7 people in his entourage and
gambled and partied for hours and hours.
The following actually happened while we
were dealing to him on a private Baccarat game:
His betting limit was $160,000 per hand. He
was up $5 million, then down $3 million. Up and down, up and down. After a
couple of hours he is finally up a $6 million winner. At this point he
says to the dealers " all right, what do you think banker or
player?". Well we have dealt to Mr. "P" and this is the
moment we have been waiting for. As much experience as we have we all
"dummy up" and the dealer on the pole says "we will go with
your choice Mr. "P" . Mr. "P" says he thinks the
player hand is going to win based on his system. We all agree his
choice is brilliant, to say the least. His maximum bet is $160,000. He
puts the $160,000 on the players hand and cuts it in half. That's right
the dealers have an $80,000 bet. The croupier on the pole proceeds to call
the cards. Lo and behold, the player hand wins. $80,000 FOR THE GREATEST
BACCARAT DEALERS IN THE WORLD.
Before the next hand is dealt out Mr.
"P" says, "all right, let it ride and win $160,000 or take
down your $80,000 We all say "we will let it ride with you Mr.
"P". His response is classic Mr. "P"." My God,
you guys have more balls than I do".
Yes, the dealers won the bet. A total of
$160,000 !!
But there is something we all knew and
would like to tell you. You see Mr., "P" always made sure the
dealers in any casino he gambled in made a huge toke (tip) from him.
That's Mr. "P" and his generosity. Sadly Lost But Never
Forgotten. Mr. "P" of
course was Kerry Packer who died after a long illness in late 2005, a self-made
billionaire, he had a passion for gambling and owned a couple of casinos
himself. His business had been taken over by his son Jamie, and while unfortunately
he does not have the gambling spirit his farther did he does have his
business sense having already nearly doubled his fathers wealth in 2006.
